Nancy Simmons, M.D.

Originally from the Pittsburgh area, Nancy Simmons has known from an early age that she wanted to pursue a career in medicine. After losing her mother to Hodgkin's Lymphoma when she was just 17, she set her sights on medical school. She earned her doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania's School of Medicine in 2000, and went on to achieve her board certification to practice Family Medicine. After performing her residency at the University of Virginia Medical Center, Dr. Simmons worked at a private practice in Pittsburgh before relocating to Hartford and accepting a position with Platinum Family Health in 2005. In her spare time, she trains for local triathlons, volunteers at the Shriner's Burn Institute, and enjoys hiking with her husband.
